Do not sell my personal information

Last updated:

Argus does not sell your personal information.

Under California's Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), "sell" has a broad legal meaning that includes most kinds of sharing for valuable consideration. We don't do any of them:

  • We don't sell your data to advertisers.
  • We don't sell your data to brokers or aggregators.
  • We don't share your data with third parties for cross-context behavioural advertising.
  • We don't exchange your data for free services from another vendor.

We do use a small list of sub-processors — vendors who process data on our behalf to operate the service. Under CCPA these aren't "sales"; they're service providers bound by contracts that prohibit them from using the data for any other purpose.

Submit an opt-out anyway

Even though we're not selling your data, California residents have the right to formally request that we don't. To submit a verifiable opt-out:

  1. Email support@argus-profiler.com from the address on your account.
  2. Subject line: CCPA opt-out request.
  3. We'll confirm receipt within 10 business days and complete processing within 45 days, as the law requires.

Other CCPA rights

California residents also have the right to know what we collect, to access a copy of it, and to delete it. The same email address handles all of those — see privacy policy §7 for the full list.

Authorised agents

You can authorise an agent to submit a request on your behalf. Include a signed authorisation; we may verify directly with you before acting.
